First Presbyterian Church
Faith leaders, join us for a lunch with Dr. David Docusen from The Neighborliness Center at First Presbyterian Church, 554 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN, on Wednesday, January 25th at 12:00pm.
Dr. David Docusen has spent the past twenty years investing into communities as a pastor, church planter, author, speaker, professor and advocate.
The local expression of their ministry is deeply rooted on North Patterson Avenue in Winston Salem, NC. The Neighborliness Center is in the process of building a community center that will give equitable access to education, employment, healthcare, and housing for neighbors in the surrounding community.
David studied the response of the body of Christ to generational poverty in his doctoral program. His findings resulted in the formation of Freedom Communities – an organization in Charlotte, NC which gives equitable access to education, employment, healthcare, and housing.
His book, Neighborliness, was featured on Good Morning America and hit #1 in four separate categories on Amazon. The book and related resources have been used around the world as practical tools to cross dividing lines.
David serves on the board of directors for three organizations: Relevant Magazine, Freedom Communities, and Winston Salem Christian School.
David & Dara have four teenage children (Max, Mary, Jack, and Ben) and they are huge supporters of Charlotte FC and the Carolina Panthers.
